Founded by mainstream jazz singer Todd Gordon, Scotland’s new concert promoter, Jazz International is proud to present its first programme of events. The common definition of the word ‘jazz’ is “a type of modern music with a rhythm in which the strong notes are usually not on the beat and which is usually improvised.” But with so many musical styles blending nowadays, and taking influences from other genres, we hope that the eclectic series of concerts we have planned will appeal not only to jazz fans, but also to people who love all kinds of good music.
Since setting up Jazz International, Todd has been delighted with the highly positive response that he’s received. From the management and staff at The Queen’s Hall and The Lot in Edinburgh and the Royal Concert Hall, Old Fruitmarket and City Halls in Glasgow, to the many musicians, press and media, individuals and jazz fans who have expressed their support.
Todd hopes that you will add your comments and suggestions. If there are particular artists you would like to see perform in Scotland, please drop us an e-mail (visit the ). And do join our and be one of the first to hear about forthcoming concerts and special offers – simply visit the mailing list page.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to future concerts.
